Danny was adopted from foster care in 1989. As his childhood progressed, he maintained contact with his brother, who had been adopted by a family over 2000 miles away in Bangor, Maine. Witnessing the blessings yielded in his own life, and the continued faith of his brother in the face of severe health issues, inspired Danny to dedicate his life to enhancing the lives of vulnerable children and families. After graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing, Danny soon became a general manager of a small business. Around the same time, he became a CASA advocate for teens in foster care. As he observed the transitions of his CASA youth into adulthood, he realized there were significant gaps in the lives of young adults from foster care. This resulted in years of research, which evolved into him establishing the Foster Leaders Movement, which is a grassroots movement that promotes the leadership development of current and former foster youth. Wanting to enhance his understanding of the inherent structure of systems like foster care, Danny earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. He hopes to utilize the unique blend between his human service expertise and his marketing expertise to enhance the Imagine Foundation for years to come.  Learn more about Foster Leaders..
